Mar P.RoTt (Marcia Rottmann Sánchez) was born in
La Falda, Córdoba in the center of Argentina in 1987.
She grew up with her 4 siblings in Punilla Valley, surrounded by nature.
Throughout her childhood, Mar was fascinated by art, hand in hand with her grandmother, a career ceramist, with whom she spent her summers, first in Uruguay and then in Buenos Aires city; during these summers they went from the workshop to the fairs, and from exhibitions to museums. Despite her love for art, her childhood was difficult due to the several economic crises that the country went through. Because of that she had to work from an early age to take care of her younger siblings.
The years that followed high school were very complex. Looking for her place in the world, she worked at many different activities and moved several times to La Falda,
La Rioja city and Buenos Aires city.
During her youth she worked at an NGO carrying out social projects and connecting with the world. She directed and collaborated in cultural and artistic projects with children and teenagers in conjunction with the City Hall of La Falda at neighborhoods in need. At the age
of 27, she decided to focus her studies on art and enrolled in the Visual Arts Technician ship, graduating with the best score of the school. There, her art turned towards
the analysis of innocence, the construction of childhood, working on controversial issues, conducting interviews and then projects that made the observers question themselves. She made several independent and collaborative exhibitions as well as participated in several projects of illustration for album covers and illustration
of texts alongside other artists and cultural managers.
After graduating in 2019, she moved to Amsterdam,
The Netherlands, where she began to experiment with digital art. She was attracted to it thanks to the possibility of creating and connecting with a single tool that she could always take with her anywhere in the world.
She improved her skills in a self-taught way, learning the use of programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesigne. She  also attended training courses in illustration with illustrators and artists such as Juan Pablo Varia, Andrea Ga, Bearbrickjia and Pablo Ashei. Due to the pandemic, she is currently in Argentina again, but still intends to continue traveling.
